Hungerford Town 5 - 2 Abingdon Town

What a game! Where can I start a great local derby with both sides enjoying spells of domination.

Hungerford cruised to a 3 - 0 lead thanks to a Tarrick penalty, and a brace from Fitch. Then the mayham started when Abindgon were awarded a penalty and Ben Fitch got a contraversial second yellow for disent towards the official

Abingdon did score the aforementioned spot kick to make it 3 -1 at the break but despite some early second half pressure Edders and Gilo wrapped up the game after coming on midway into the second half.

Team Comments

Domminic - The Fans Favorite keeper did well especially when Abingdon mounted pressure in the second half
Becks - Picked Up a nasty head injury in the second half,
Shandy - Added pace and height to the back 4 in front of his screaming fans
Toby - Was frustrated by the referee on several occasions but was his usual calm self on the ball
McCrae- Nick lead from the Front but will have been dispointed to conceed the pen
McMeeking - Dealt with everything Abingdon's centre forward could throw at him
Tarrick - Scored a great penalty and his pace was always a threat
Brewer- Again words can't describe the passion this man has. Filled in for Becks at right back too when he went off
Gosser - Was the attention of all the fouling as per usual a quieter game by his high standards but had to put in the work when we went a man down
Concannon - Still finding his feet in the team but another match under his belt
Fitch - A mixed afternoon scoring a couple of great goals but then being dismissed (not entirely his fault though!)

SUBS

Charlie A- Played in Midfield and showed good work rate in a different position for the young striker
Edders - Scored the most vital goal of the match and it meant a lot to Edders. His 21st for the club
Gilo - Worked hard added a physical presence to the side.
