Hungerford moved into the 3rd round of the FA Vase for the first time since 1998 with a comfortable 5 - 0 home win against Gillingham Town.
The expectant away support generated a great atmosphere and the visitors started brighty bouyed on by this. Hungerford without Clark, Edney, Terry, Green, Smith and Mills could have been unnerved but they soon started to dominate possesion and carve out chances.
It was Bedwell who put Hungerford 1 -0 converting a Luke Brewer cross and Concannon made it two soon after with a typical finish. Hungerford should have also been awarded a penalty when McMeeking was pushed over in the box but the linesman was more concerned with subsitutes warming up than penalty shouts.
At half time you still felt the next goal was crucial as if Gillingham could have nicked one they might have rallied but Concannon eased nerves with a second and Ben Fitch added the forth with a great run a shot. Fitch was putting in a brave performance a he was knocked out during a first half collision
Concannon hit the fifth and his third with a strike off the underside of the bar to seal the win and Hungerford could finsih the game with the teenage strike force of Guy and Austin
